Landmark Hotel Wins Fáilte Ireland’s Optimus Tourism Award

The Landmark Hotel was one of 13 tourism establishments nationally, honoured at the Fáilte Ireland Optimus Awards held in the Castleroy Park Hotel, Limerick, this July.
The Optimus Programme, which was developed by Fáilte Ireland, aims to help tourism establishments achieve excellence in every aspect of their business by providing a practical approach to boosting bottom line performance and a focus on improving results.  The Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co.Leitrim,  was one of 6 hotels from across the country honoured in the Mark of Best Practice section.

Andrew McKenna, Operations Manager at the Landmark Hotel, believes that Optimus has enabled the hotel to enhance business performance. The Best Practice Programme provided a framework for improving management practices and for working towards better business performance.

“By challenging our existing processes and ensuring that staff at all levels are involved in making improvements to each department, all areas of the business have benefited. As a result our business performance has been enhanced and our goals are also more clearly defined and comprehended by staff”
